Queen Vee-Mari Mari ft Souljah Luv

Queen Vee is really working hard to penetrate the Zimbabwean market as evidenced by her recent collaboration with Zim dancehall artist Souljah Luv. The former beauty queen released her single ‘Mari Mari’ on Sat 16 Jan. on ZiFM Stereo and via social media after teasing fans on her Instagram and Twitter.

Kazz – She’s Worth It

After releasing his hit single, “She’s Worth It” which was number two on the Groove Deck Top 20 Charts of 2015 and has over 60,000 listens on Soundcloud, Boomslang Records, Kazz releases the visuals for the single which features Sonni Balli.

The video shows a cinematic story line of a man trying to save a damsel in distress, after being beaten up by some ‘gangster’ like men, oh yeah and the cast speaks in Shona (subtitle added) with some action in between the scenes. Kazz is found in the middle of what seems to be a crop circle, singing his lungs out and well the female protagonist is a looker…so yes, she’s worth it.

Carl Joshua Ncube joins cast of upcoming Comedy Central animation show

CJN has signed up to join a cast of a new Comedy Central animation show, called My Child: Teenage Mutant Azanians.

The stand up comedian will be joining the team in a dual capacity, as voice talent and also helping generate some Zimbabwean story lines and characters.

Ammara Brown-Mukoko ft Tytan

Ammara Brown is not slowing down and she released her first single in 2016 titled “Mukoko” ft Tytan. The Afro beat fused single was produced by Jusa Dementor. The song will be part of Ammara’s long anticipated debut album, ‘Ammartia’.

According to the presser, “Mukoko” is an intensely flirtatious love song between two single people. Tytan plays the man in search of a “Mukoko” (entry to a honey comb) while Ammara plays the “Mukoko” declaring she’s much more than the average girl and inviting him to taste and treasure it. Written by both performing artists, it is also produced by Jusa dementor.

Stunner Is Engaged

Congratulations are in order as rapper Stunner is engaged. The Tazoita Cash boss posted on his Instagram a picture of a female hand wearing an engagement ring which he captioned:

“Seems my journey has come to an end and I’m hanging boots. Who wants to be my best man? #engaged #fiance #fiancee #wedobigthings #vvvtt #finally #weddingsettings #shesaidyes #unobvunzaani #HatireveNyambo #lifehasjustbegun #taken”. 

So who is the lucky lady in question, according to Youth Village Zimbabwe, it happens to be on and off girlfriend Mellisa Moyo, who currently is studying overseas, although no confirmation was made by Stunner or the lady with the hand.

So 2015 was clearly the year of the Vin as Bualwayo native, Cal_Vin made sure that his presence was known throughout Zimbabwe. Now in 2016 he seems to be making pace to cross the border as he is currently in South Africa, where he will be doing interviews including at Y FM, as well as being featured on “Where Is The Beef?”, amongst other things that the rapper wants to achieve during his stay. Maybe he will work his way through collaborations or even better…a major recording deal.
